BEN TRE : visit MEKONG DELTA region

When  arriving at Ben Tre pier, you take a boat trip along the Ben Tre River  and see the lushness of the mangrove trees and the locals going about their daily lives :  transferring coconuts and rice husks, setting fish traps, etc.).

You can witness  artisans create bricks using a traditional handy method when visiting a local  brickwork . Continue heading to another interesting destination – the coconut candy workshop, a place where they make the sweetest. Right there, you can relax in the cool green space while listening to traditional folk music, enjoying fruits, and  honey lemon tea. 

Then back to the boat, slowly moving, admiring the beauty that nature has to present here (through zig-zag canals until we reach a small village in the countryside).

When reaching the village, take a short walk to get a taste of village life by chatting with local people. Also, you can see how straw mats are woven by a handloom at a mat-weaving house. The interesting part is that you can give it a try to weave a mat yourself.

Then, hop on a tuk-tuk  and pass by green rice fields and vegetable plains on the shady road to enjoy the fullest tranquility of the village. After a savory lunch at a local restaurant, boat will pick you up at the big river to go back to the pier.
