Ben Tre, the land that is well-known as the “Land of Coconuts”. But, besides coconuts, we have rice fields, too. So, if you want to get a fresh perspective on Ben Tre’s rural nature, why don’t you join us on this tour and see the rice fields and other local activities?
Well, what are you waiting for? Let’s go!
Embark a boat on the river and go downstream to An Hoa River. Get ashore.
Go through rice paddies, stop for a short walk in the rice field, see the process of planting rice, and harvest the crop. Go on winding paths around the bitter melon or cucumber farms to a farmer’s house, contact with peasants find out about rice growing and vegetables.
Continue biking on the path and visiting a coconut shell husking workshop. See the daily life of farmers and try the hard work taking the shell of the coconut, which is unique in the country.
Break for lunch at local house.
The hand-rowing sampan slowly cruises under the canopy of water coconut palms along the canals. Boating and visiting a handy brick kiln, the charcoal workshop where make raw charcoal by heat and fire coconut shell (after refining raw charcoal will be a good material for the battery industry).
Our boat will pick us up again and cruise back to the boat landing in Ben Tre town.
